Retired Colonel Divya Thakur revived his family orchard with organic practices, producing healthy apples while promoting sustainable farming in Himachal.

After serving in the Indian Army, Colonel Divya Thakur returned to his family orchards in Manali with a new mission — to heal the soil. Using natural farming and army precision, he revived tired land into a flourishing organic apple haven, harvesting 11 tonnes in July 2025.

At 23, Abhishek Reddy left a Rs 1.5 crore job to build a farm in search of peace. His journey from burnout to permaculture taught him that true fulfillment lies not just in nature, but in community. Now in Manali, he’s ready to begin again — with intention and belonging.
