As India faces an acute water crisis, here's how you can do your bit by setting up a simple and affordable rainwater harvesting system at home to reduce your water usage by 30%.

Sampath S is a 66-year-old retired banker who lives in Bengaluru. For the last six years, he has used only rainwater for his household purposes.

To date, more than 30 apartment complexes in Bengaluru have adopted Ganesh’s RWH system.

Subhajit Mukherjee, the founder of city-based NGO, Mission Green Mumbai, has found a cost-effective solution to the problem of rainwater wastage using PVC pipes and a water drum.
