“Most often aspirants can skim through the sports section and make note of only historical achievements or at times when new world records are made," says IAS Naveen Chandra, UPSC, CSE Topper.
“It is also important that aspirants attempt as many mock tests as possible before the actual exam. This will not only help you brush up on your concepts but will evaluate yourself and revise accordingly.”
“I observed that the dropout rate was extremely high in the school and my first challenge was to change this. It did not help that the school had no infrastructure,” says Kotresh.
When her previous attempt in the Civil Service Examination yielded a 99 rank and secured her an Indian Police Services post, Namrata again sat for the exam in 2018, scored an All India Rank of 12 to get her dream job of the Indian Administrative Services.
“While making notes, keep in mind that this is what you will come back to closer to the examination. So remember to be concise, and jot down all relevant information. Making copious notes might not serve the purpose during the days just before the examination.”
