The Indian Railways will soon connect the country’s most high-profile Delhi-Mumbai route by upgrading an existing train and completing the journey in less than 13 hours.
With the Delhi-Chandigarh corridor slated to be the first semi-high speed project by the Indian Railways, the trains under the project will run at a speed of 200km per hour.
The Railway Board has agreed to the proposal of the Karnataka government for conversion of 15 existing short-distance passenger trains into Mainline Multiple Electric Units (MEMU)
