The Indian Railways will kickstart the final location survey for the 498-km route connecting Bilaspur, Manali and Leh in Jammu & Kashmir this week.

The system has been developed by ISRO as a measure to warn people about approaching trains especially near unmanned level crossings as well as to track the train movements on a real-time basis.

The modified trains will have improved coaches and new comfortable seats.

A month post the announcement about the face-lift by the railway ministry, the trains will be taking off on the Tirupati-Jammutawi & Howrah- Vijaywada routes.

Apart from providing child-friendly sanitary facilities, the trains will also be equipped with a whole new range of toilet system for men and women.

The tour will cover some of the most coveted tourist spots in southern India like Chettinad, Mahabalipuram, Mysuru, Hampi and Goa.

The station, built in 1979 will be country’s first to be revamped and will have a transit hub that falls in tune with global standards.

In recent years, the Indian government has been pushing to green the country’s vast railway network in a variety of ways.

This feature will make the booking process faster, given that the delay that normally accompanies the payment part of the process will be eliminated.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi scheme, generic drugs, which are not branded but have the same efficacy as their branded counterparts, are sold to the public.
