Parvinder Chawla was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when she was in school. By 21, she had to rely on a wheelchair for mobility. Despite the challenges, she nurtured her passion and has travelled solo to 59 countries so far.
From playing basketball in a wheelchair to establishing her own spice business, Sumarty from Kashmir has shattered multiple stereotypes to prove her mettle despite her disability.
"If accessibility and reasonable accommodation are missing, people with disabilities cannot exercise their rights, which leads to discrimination,” she says.
