In Punjab’s Manak Khana, women gained recognition through a powerful nameplate initiative that is changing the way villages see gender roles.

Kamal Kumbhar from Osmanabad spent her early years battling incessant poverty, till one NGO changed the course of her life. Today, she hopes she can play the same role for women like her, by helping them become entrepreneurs.

Titled 'Operation Kabach,' the initiative is also empowering around 175 village women. In fact, the Indian Army has already placed bulk orders for their hospitals.
