From suave bags fashioned from tetra paks, denim and other textile wastes to fancy tea coasters made using motherboards and vinyl records, Rimagined’s range of upcycled products is indeed a revelation.
The campaign has been a raging success in Mumbai where this group of environmentally-conscious citizens from the NGO have collected over 100 tonnes of plastic, electronic and other recyclable waste from housing societies and in turn gifted a whopping 20,000 bags across the city.
For many women working as helpers and/or cooks in urban households, skill development can go a long way towards improving their employability and prospects. Rupa, one such woman, decided to help her fellow workers by organising a cooking workshop to train them in different cuisines.
