Snow Leopard Population

In a major conservation breakthrough, Ladakh has been found to host 68% of India’s snow leopards, with 477 individuals recorded in a new survey. This success highlights the region’s thriving ecosystem and the crucial role of local communities and authorities in protecting the elusive “ghost of the mountains.”
