Inspired by his struggles to find affordable second-hand books, Muzaffarpur-based Akshay Kashyap co-founded Kitabwalah with his friend Srijan Kumar. They have sold over 6,000 books making Rs 8 lakh within two years, and have secured funding under the Bihar Startup Policy 2022.

Established in 2002, the Sisters of the People Book Shop has been spreading the love for vintage, donated books and also helping slum children in Delhi.

Padhega India Initiative started as a pilot project in South Delhi to circulate second-hand books to people who otherwise had no access to high-priced academic books or rare novels.
