Displaced from Kashmir in 1989, Maya Kaul — mother of actor Manav Kaul — rebuilt her life in Madhya Pradesh through education, quietly turning survival into service. Today, at 73, she supports 60 anganwadis, helps women earn with dignity, and continues to nurture children and communities — never calling herself a changemaker, even as she transforms lives.

Real Kashmir FC was born from devastation after the 2014 floods, when two friends handed out 100 footballs to aimless boys in Srinagar. What followed became a movement that carried a valley from despair to national glory — rewriting Kashmir’s story through courage, community and the power of sport.

After quitting a conventional engineering path, IIT graduate Saurabh Bothra found his true purpose in yoga. What began with just three students during lockdown has grown into Habuild — a global movement with over 12.6 million learners across 169 countries, six world records, and a mission to make wellness accessible to all.

The increasing migratory population has also worked in favour of this venture as people are open to new experiences and willing to step out of their comfort zones.

Started by Prateeksha and Prateek Sharma of Madhya Pradesh, ‘Green and Grains’, is a Farm-to-Fork business model in which partner farmers are trained to manage production on their land, and their organic produce is delivered to customers’ doorstep.

“People in villages and the housewives are so creative. The slums are full of stars. But they don't get recognition. I do this to inspire people who are like me.”

“They (the Municipal Corporation of Delhi) have pulled off my stall from here so many times, but I come back again shamelessly. What should I do? I will fall sick if I don’t work.”

“Daily wage workers are treated like slaves. No one considers them as humans. Even though there were hardships in farming, it is something of your own.”

The couple started cutting the grafts from their trees for new saplings and started ‘Shekhawati Krishi farm and Nursery’ in 2013.

After working as a software developer for a year and a half, she left her job in 2017 and returned to take over farming once again.
