Rudraprayag

The DFO of Rudraprayag in Uttarakhand, IFS officer Vaibhav Singh has set an inspiring example of conservation by restoring Himalayan forests and harvesting over 10 million litres of rainwater.

Usha has started teaching science to Class 9 and 10 students, and dedicates two and a half hours each day to teach these children.

Several widows in Uttarakhand are working hard to make ends meet after the deadly floods of 2013. From working at flour mills, to becoming expert knitter – these strong women are doing their best to restore a sense of normalcy in their lives.
