73 YO Syed Dastageer, popularly known as 'Magic Babu' performs regularly outside the Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel. His magic tricks range from simple card tricks, to complicated ones which involve him consuming fire.

"I remember my grandfather—a farmer—telling me that my generation wasn't resilient enough to practice farming. Those words made me take it up as a challenge," says Saniha.

Devang represents one of the many people who switched from the corporate world to organic farming with an aim to not only grow their own food but also make organic veggies accessible and affordable to others.

A resident of Kalyangiri, Hashmath Fathima started gardening seriously when she moved to her current house in Mysuru about 26 years ago.

"I already had an inkling of the dire consequences of our diet. But I woke up to the problem only after I encountered the case of a girl who had begun menstruating at the age of six. I was shocked!"

There was plenty of gratitude, but the doctor responded by saying that he was just performing his duties.
