Blackouts no longer mean darkness for many Kerala families. Since 2017, startup Energy24by7 has made this possible, powering over 1,000 homes with smart solar that saves up to 50 percent on bills and keeps them running through outages.

At 23, Kerala’s Ashin P Krishna built Coco-bot, a coconut-harvesting robot making farming safer and creating new income for rural workers.

Founded by Nanma Gireesh and Ben K George, Kerala start-up NestAbide aims to engineer amphibious buildings that stay afloat in flood waters.
