Over 90% of food delivery containers in cities like Delhi and Mumbai are made of black plastic. Durable and sleek, they’ve become the norm—but many are made from untraceable recycled materials. This raises critical questions about food safety, poor recyclability, and the urgent need for safer packaging alternatives.

Copper production, including mining, smelting and refining, is a hazardous industry that produces toxic by-products like lead, arsenic and sulphur oxides that adversely impact water, soil and air quality.

This new proposed amendment would allow the authorities to cut these trees without any public consultation, and without seeking permission from the appropriate body.
