Lakshmi Karunakaran, with the volunteers, has been conducting reading sessions with the children of about 200 families living in a slum.

The fully-computerized 'Aksharam' library was set up by Anirudh Mahesh and Aamir Kudel, higher secondary students of Emirates International School in Dubai, after renovating the existing library of the school.

Communities Rising runs after-school programmes for children in parts of rural Tamil Nadu. They are using StoryWeaver to help inculcate a love of reading in their students.
