Ceramic waste recycling

Shashank Nimkar, a National Institute of Design graduate, founded Earth Tatva to modify ceramic waste into a versatile material for artists, architects, and designers. His unconventional approach combines recycled ceramics with a natural clay binder, creating eco-friendly products like tiles, mugs, and architectural partitions.

The urge to do so first emerged during an industrial visit in 2017, when Shashank Nimkar’s class visited Khurja, a major ceramic hub in India.
