Sanjeev Karpe was introduced to bamboo as a sustainable material very early on in his career. Today, he has designed a bamboo ceiling for the living quarters of the football players at the FIFA world cup.

Currently the Zonal Commissioner (West Zone) of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Dasari has been dedicatedly invested in numerous recycling initiatives under her jurisdiction for over two years now.

The structure has been constructed by Bamboo House India in collaboration with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

The couple is trying to convince the municipal authorities that discarded old tyres and drums can be converted into furniture and planters for offices and parks.

Many housing colonies in Hyderabad may soon have very peculiar looking bus shelters – all made up of pet bottles!

This couple went searching for furniture for their new home and ended up making bamboo houses for others. Now, Prashant and Aruna have moved on to manufacturing all things recyclable.
