Ruovilhoukho Chuzho from Nagaland learned carpentry and bamboo crafts to establish three enterprises of his own - The Naga’s Feather, Collection Store, and Chop Sticks. He was also named the ‘Promising Artisan of The Year’ by the NBDA in 2017

Ananda Mohanta, a bamboo artisan from Mayurbhanj district, Odisha makes cottage-style houses, swings, sofa-sets, and several household items.

The project that Saloni has undertaken in this village is to set-up a social enterprise in partnership with an NGO, BAIF Development Research Foundation, for the tribal bamboo artists of Dang. These artists earn a meagre living by making jewellery and bamboo products, while keeping the culture alive.
