Major Rohit Bachwala, an off-duty army doctor at Jhansi Railway Station, stepped in to deliver a baby girl on the footover bridge when a woman went into sudden labour. Using minimal tools and some help from railway staff, he ensured a safe delivery, showing courage amidst the station’s bustle.
"Hardly any couple in the Army had risen to the rank of Major General almost simultaneously," says Maj Gen N K Manchanda who served in the Army for 37 years and shared this amazing tale.
