Accessible education for all

Sandeep Desai, a former marine engineer and academician, is a resident of Goregaon and the famous Mumbai man who begged on local trains to start rural English medium schools across villages in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Bihar.

Promoting and making such innovative projects accessible to the Base of the Pyramid (BoP) population, NASSCOM Social Innovation Forum (NSIF), a ‘Tech for Good’ platform, is bridging the gap and fostering inclusive growth.

Believing a harmonious world can be achieved through a positive environment and not corporal punishment, Meghana Dabbara and her friends and fellow core team members, Khyathi Chodagiri from Hyderabad, Saumya Katuri (18) from California, and Pranita Garimella (20) from New York started Make The World Wonderful, an NGO with a vision of a world where people live in harmony, starting with children first.

Using live online classrooms and guided activities, people are changing the traditional model and bringing the classroom to their students across India.
