“Chutney is one of the most popular condiments in Indian cuisine,” says the urban gardener who is also well-known for her impeccable culinary skills.

“My garden expanded after I moved to IISc Bengaluru for my PhD. My hostel room housed nearly 30 plants then, as well as a little kitchen garden in my lab. Research work in itself is very cumbersome, and my garden provided me solace at the end of a tiring day,” she shares.

“The ultimate aim is to uphold the concept of organic food," says Ajay Tyagi who has inspired many corporate employees to turn towards organic farming.
