When her previous attempt in the Civil Service Examination yielded a 99 rank and secured her an Indian Police Services post, Namrata again sat for the exam in 2018, scored an All India Rank of 12 to get her dream job of the Indian Administrative Services.

Dr Kumar says, “COPD patients whom I usually see on a regular basis come to us with a history of prolonged cough, breathlessness, even cough accompanied with sputum, and wheezing.”

“I am inspired by Mother Theresa’s work,” says 37-year-old Jaison Paul, the man behind this initiative.

One of the mottos that Grandpa lived by was to help people until his last breath. His signature line - “Loving. Sharing. Caring. This is my family,” resonates with many of his follower’s world over.

“There were 328 BPL (Below Poverty Line) families in the village. They had neither house nor land. I could uplift them to APL (Above Poverty Line). I think as a Sarpanch that was my biggest achievement and my happiest memory.”

“We met several contractors and finally found one who said that the project could be completed in Rs 1.76 lakhs. We also got volunteer engineers on-board to help us out.”

In the last few years, the FSSAI has come out with various schemes to update and strengthen food safety laws and regulations.
