Instead of throwing used bulbs, tube lights or batteries away one by one, the main idea is to encourage people to inculcate the habit of safely stocking and disposing these collectively.

The initiative has firmly cemented bonding between different religious practitioners, besides paving the way for environmental awareness and the fact that good things happen when people irrespective of their backgrounds unite.

“The one thing that I said over and over everywhere I went was that Ambala would not become Paris in 60 days, but it would certainly be recognised for its cleanliness,” says the founder of this project. .

Today, the waste management system of this Rajasthan village is in alignment with the Swachh Bharat Mission and is being considered as a replicable model for the entire district. This is a result of the efforts put in by two engineers – Kavya Raman and Shuvam Das Choudhury.
