Purposefully kept out of the dairy business because of their social position, Dalit women often represent some of the most oppressed individuals in the country.

As a matter pride for the nation, over five women in the list are Indians. These resilient Indian women have risen through times and carved a niche for themselves in their respective fields, not only garnering praise in India but also hogging limelight around the world.

After a review meeting last Friday, Transport minister H M Revanna asked the concerned officials at KSRTC & BMTC to draft a policy which will give incentives to women candidates willing to take up driving heavy transport vehicles for the state transport.
