When it comes to ‘green living’, Indian Railways seems to be working around the clock, finding the best ways with which it can lead the way. First the bio toilets, followed by testing solar powered trains, then the plan to set up plants to manufacture diesel from plastic, and now two waste disposal plant - looks like railways is all set to leave no stone unturned.
The waste will be collected from various cities of Uttarakhand for the innovative waste disposal plant that will convert it into energy. All types of waste, including hazardous, agricultural, biomedical waste can be used in the process. Know more.
