Vijay Gopal, an anti-corruption and consumer rights' activist from Hyderabad, was charged an additional Rs 33 by Swiggy for his order from KFC, under "packing charges". In response, he filed a complaint in the consumer court.

"As a government, you don't want to pay overtime because it's a burden on the exchequer, but on the other hand you don't hire enough people. This is Khaki-collared slavery, which we must end," says Hyderabad's Vijay Gopal, who has filed a PIL in the Supreme Court for the same.

"By the time I bought the tickets, my transaction had increased by 30% of the amount I had initially seen for the movie ticket price. Unfortunately, this practice isn’t merely limited to Paytm or INOX, even cab services and food delivery apps levy this charge,” says Vijay Gopal. #ConsumerRights #RBI
