Locally known as ‘Pappada Ammumma’ or the Papad granny, Vasumathi has been selling papads for the last 40 years by the roadside at the famous Chalai market.
Known as Pappachi, his family had registered a ‘missing’ complaint with the local police, besides printing newspaper advertisements and circulating posters across the town, but to no avail.
Owned by Devanarayanan Potty, who is a head priest under the Devaswom Board, the house probably has more books and manuscripts than the entire population of Sreevaraham.
