ASTROSAT is capable of observing the universe in all its raw form and recently it captured an image of a special galaxy cluster, more than 800 million light-years away.
Called GROWTH-India, the facility at Hanle is part of a multi-country collaborative initiative known as ‘Global Relay of Observatories Watching Transients Happen’ (GROWTH) to observe transient events in the universe.
India will now be able to capture high resolution three dimensional images of the sun with the help of its largest multi-application solar telescope which has been installed in the Udaipur Solar Observatory.
