This couple from Hyderabad decided to homeschool their twin daughters in a unique way – teaching lessons while on a road trip across India

A postgraduate in Urdu and the Kashmiri language and a renowned calligraphy artist, Roohi was among the 47 recipients of the National Teachers Award from across the country.

Without a college degree, the opportunity of getting a proper job had become slim. But he persevered.

“I had always wanted to be a teacher and all my efforts in life were always pointed towards that direction. But when this happened, I was confused. The negativity started kicking in and I knew I needed something to distract myself.”

Seeing the struggle that the students are going through amidst the lockdown, a retired school teacher donated his pension money to buy 18 digital tablets for underprivileged students!

Having been paralysed at the age of 9, this Kolkata-based teacher has been self-quarantining for 40 years now. He founded Knowledge Capsules with the sole objective of keeping his students abreast with current affairs.

Their teaching stints led both Dhruva and Rohan to conduct many one-on-one sessions with their students to understand their aspirations in life and problems they were facing in studies.
