Tara Patkar

Tara Patkar and his team of volunteers started Roti Bank to make sure no one sleeps hungry in the town of Mahoba. Roti Bank collects food from over 500 households and feeds more than 1000 people every day.

India is home to a quarter of the world's undernourished population. These stalwarts are taking the fight against hunger forward in our country and we honour them this Independence day.

A group of 5 elders and 40 youth have begun an initiative to provide food to over 400 people by collection and distribution.
