Syed Ghani Khan is a museum curator who resides in a small village in Mandya district. His initiative is a unique one --a living museum where over 850 varieties of rice and about 115 varieties of mangoes are being conserved and cultivated.

A community initiative working to preserve traditional varieties of crops through organic farming, 'Sahaja Samrudha' (Bountiful Nature) is a fast-expanding network of small farmers and like-minded individuals who are working to make sustainable agriculture a way of life in India's farming community.
