To promote air travel, the UDAN scheme caps domestic flight tariffs at Rs 2,500 per hour. The balance amount in the airfares is covered by the government as part of the subsidy. The state governments also waive airport charges and taxes on aviation turbine fuel.
Differently-abled students who are blind, hearing impaired and dumb students, orthopedically handicapped and those with a disability level of more than 75 percent will be exempted from tuition, examination and certificate fees.
