A college trek to the high climes of Himachal Pradesh inspired Sonal and Vaibhav to get into the plastic waste recycling business and establish their Delhi-based startup econscious®.
In 1987, Sonal Shukla started Vacha Foundation, which works to educate and empower adolescent girls in Mumbai’s slums. The team recalls working with their mentor, educator and an icon of the feminist movement in India.
Vacha foundation with centres in many slums across Mumbai and Gujarat is helping young girls speak up against patriarchy in a very strong and inspiring way.
