On her fifth attempt, Nidhi Bansal cleared the UPSC CSE with an All India Rank of 23. Find out how she balanced her time preparing for GS and her optional paper for the mains.

In an era when a woman speaking out of turn was considered blasphemy, Dr Irawati Karve was smashing gender barriers to explore new thoughts and territories.

“The only answer here is practice. One has to write answers and attempt mock tests within the proper time limit. I started first by writing answers daily which was three answers within the stipulated time limit,” shares Akshat.

When her previous attempt in the Civil Service Examination yielded a 99 rank and secured her an Indian Police Services post, Namrata again sat for the exam in 2018, scored an All India Rank of 12 to get her dream job of the Indian Administrative Services.

“While making notes, keep in mind that this is what you will come back to closer to the examination. So remember to be concise, and jot down all relevant information. Making copious notes might not serve the purpose during the days just before the examination.”
