From something as simple as refusing a fairness cream ad to pulling out of an event sponsored by a brand that promotes ‘whitening’, these ten celebrities condemned colour-based discrimination with their actions.

“I started circulating my portfolio but I got nothing but rejection. People made fun of my flat nose and complained about my dark skin.”

Started by three students at the University of Texas, the #UnfairandLovely campaign has brought together many people of colour from across the globe to share one common concern and to break some ridiculous stereotypes.
