The ‘Shri Ganeet’ saree that Vidya Balan wore for promotions of Shakuntala Devi has an interesting journey.

"If sharing my heartbreaks and failures gives people hope, then there’s nothing quite like it," says the actor recently featured in 'Shakuntala Devi', 'Breathe: Into The Shadows', and 'Avrodh: The Siege Within'.

“My only qualification for writing this book is that I am a human being,” wrote Shakuntala Devi in 1977, calling for “full and complete acceptance, not just tolerance and sympathy.”

I have so far painted the portraits of Dr Vandana Shiva, Savitri Bai Phule, Kesarbai Kerkar, Tessy Thomas, Shakuntala Devi, Dr Mandakini Amte, Begum Hazrat Mahal, Janaki Ammal, Queen Velu Nachiyar and Bhanu Athaiya.

Knowledge can change the world, and a visually-impaired but brilliant Belgaum native has the brainpower and the drive to do just that. This warm and friendly young man is using his amazing intellect to bring positivity and hopefulness to everyone he meets.
