The 40 students who attend this school are kids you see loitering railway stations, some of whom have been accused in petty theft cases, are addicted to drugs or mostly work as ragpickers to make ends meet.

The contents of the bag included over Rs 80,000 in cash (fees collected from students), her credit and debit cards, Aadhaar, driving licence, PAN card, car registration documents, two cellphones, house keys and even her locker keys.

These beautiful letters by teachers have been immensely helpful for not just students but also their anxious parents. We hope this collection of letters helps our students relieve some stress and always remember, “An exam is only an exam. It does not define you or your fate.”

Two teachers, physical education teacher Radhakrishna Naik and assistant teacher Nooruddin G M decided to go the extra mile to stop the school from shutting shop.

The students had earlier complained to the District Education Officer, Block Development Officer and to the grievance cell of the Collector about the alleged issues they were facing.

This man has made it his life’s mission to ensure that every child in his village who wishes to study does so without having to drop out due to unavailability of funds.

Education for this girl, is a pillar of support.

For Saraswthi Padmanabham and her husband, Shyamal Kumar setting up this school seemed to be a very obvious decision to make.

In a bid to stop the school’s closure, Laxmi and Nishmitha travel almost 60 km, walking an hour one way to reach the school.

Anju Pathak, Manu Gulati, and Deepti Chawla are three among the six teachers selected from India for this professional development program.
