Book Fairies is an international movement whose genesis can be traced back to the United Kingdom, where on March 8, 2016, a day also celebrated as International Women’s Day, the founder Cordelia Oxley gave shape to this movement.

“My mother works in a cotton farm and sends me all the money she can scrape together. I was more than happy to inform her not to send money for the monthly mess as it’s been taken care of by my friends in Pune.”

What sets TEFF apart from the other NGOs working towards the same cause is their realisation that food can be grown anywhere. With the same vision of helping the urban citizens take up farming or gardening in the space that was available to them, TEFF started a Waste Management Park in June 2017.
