The challenge was to encourage people to approach police stations without the fear that their complaints will go unheard or that they will have to suffer for a crime they did not commit.

They have set an example for other police stations in the country, which often come under criticism for being unfriendly!

The CCTNS project is an ambitious initiative that proposes to automate 14,000 police stations in the country.

To improve the security condition in naxal-affected states, the centre has decided to build 400 police stations in 10 states.
