In Mumbai, excess food is given to a welfare society and food collected in Bengaluru is given to children in government schools with no access to mid-day meals.

While school buildings are the need in some villages, many others require medical care and attention.

As per the proposal, about 600 to 700 officials from 2012-15 batches will be adopting at least one family in their appointed area of posting.
