Amidst a raging national debate, the Rajya Sabha passed the new Juvenile Justice Bill. Among other provisions, it allows offenders under the age of 18 to now be tried as adults in court.

These centres, formed by a collaboration between the government and NGO, are helping distressed women in their most crucial time of need. The first centre in Bhopal handled 9,500 cases within the first 9 months itself!
