Pune engineer Gunvant Sonawane, with help from NGO Seva Sahyog, has carried out water conservation projects across Maharashtra to help 26 villages become drought free

Actors Nana Patekar and Makrand Anaspure, have set up an organization called Naam Foundation to support Maharashtra's drought affected farmers and their families. People from various backgrounds, from across the country, are contributing to the cause with the help of donations.
