Over the years, the population of sloth bears in the wild has been threatened due to loss of habitat and poaching, making them a vulnerable species, protected under Schedule I of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. Recently, a 10-week-old bear cub was rescued after its mother was electrocuted by high tension wires in Madhya Pradesh.

Author of the beautifully rendered literary masterpiece, "The Jungle Book", Rudyard Kipling shared an intrinsic bond with India, especially Mumbai. On his 82nd death anniversary, we remember the literary giant who captured the flavour of India to a point where it became folklore.

It's impossible to forget the kind of cartoons the 90s gave us - from The Jungle Book to The Flinstones to Swat Cats. It was priceless and simply blissful.
