MMRDA has approved eco-friendly pod taxis in Mumbai's BKC to reduce traffic congestion. Covering 8.8 km with 38 stops, these automated, driverless taxis will offer quick and efficient travel.
The idea is to ease commuters from the inconvenience of having to get on the road to reach their destinations and help them reach them walking straight from the metro station.
In a notification issued on March 5, the concerned authorities have given Mumbaikars a mere month’s time to raise objections to the project that includes the nature park, popularly referred to as Mahim Nature Park, in the redevelopment of sector 5 of Dharavi.
