Indian Navy successfully test-fired it’s newly developed Long Range Barak 8 Surface-to-Air Missile (LR SAM) on Wednesday. Barak 8 has a range of nearly 70 km and the Navy defined this first flight as an important milestone in taking India’s anti-air warfare capabilities forward.
Prithvi-II, India's indigenously developed nuclear capable missile, was successfully test fired on Thursday. The missile has a strike range of 350 km, and it is capable of carrying 500 kg to 1,000 kg of warheads.
