Animal activist Abhinav Srihan is trying to save the abandoned, starved and locked up cows of Mahoba district in Bundelkhand.

Open defecation continues to be a prevalent issue in many parts of rural India. Community members from a village in an Uttar Pradesh district are coming together to resolve the problem in their own areas.

Tara Patkar and his team of volunteers started Roti Bank to make sure no one sleeps hungry in the town of Mahoba. Roti Bank collects food from over 500 households and feeds more than 1000 people every day.

A group of 5 elders and 40 youth have begun an initiative to provide food to over 400 people by collection and distribution.
