Dr Saifuddin Kitchlew was a barrister, educationist and a freedom fighter who was at the forefront of the protests against the Rowlatt Act in Amritsar, while devoting his life to preserving communal harmony in India.

Overseen by Sheikh Mohammad Munir Ansari today, this quaint and beautiful structure in Jerusalem with an Indian flag waving on its rooftop, continues to accommodate visitors from their homeland despite several moments over the course of 800 years when its mere existence was in jeopardy.

Abadi Bano Begum, who later came to be known in Indian history as 'Bi Amma' was one of the important voices of the freedom struggle. At the time, she was one of the first Muslim women to participate in politics actively.
