To alleviate the pressure on new mothers who double up as women constables and officers, the Saroornagar Police Station in Telangana’s Rachakonda set up a crèche for the tiny tots of women cops.
For over seven decades, the tribals, including school-going students, pregnant ladies, as well as the elderly used to walk for at least one hour to board a bus from Kadel Bavi thanda, six km away from their hamlet.
The rate of success reflects in the steady rise of the number students who cleared the personality interview from 84 students in 2016 to over 93 this year.
