The enrollment of children in the age group 6 to 14 years has been above 95%. However, for the first time ever, the number of children not enrolled in schools has gone below 3%.

Why are subjects arranged so systematically in report cards? Do they effect the way we see marks? Well, this report card is setting out to change that!

The students had earlier complained to the District Education Officer, Block Development Officer and to the grievance cell of the Collector about the alleged issues they were facing.

Schools in Goa will now have a programme called 'Compassionate Citizen' which will teach students to be kind towards animals. The programme is available free of cost for all schools and is already being used by 1.4 million children in more than 7,000 private and government schools across India.

The students will participate in school-level competitions and the selected ones will further take part in online quiz contests. Higher education schools are also expected to help elementary level schools in science and maths.
